Shall we take bets on whether or not zombies are the worst thing we'll see this year?

I realized, with all the new arrivals especially, we have a pool of unusual skills here. Would anyone be willing to teach a few classes? For instance: I could teach...oh, bar tending. Card dealing. Physics and labwork--you know, whatever there is interest for.

The ponies could teach 'Frolicking 101'. The angels could teach 'Offending Someone in Two Words or Less'.

[Someone who's dying saying they'll 'be okay' is kind of surprising. But he smiles a bit and nods.]

I'd offer you immortality but I rather think you have it covered.

[She's not just saying it for his benefit, trust me. She's kind of hoping to convince herself at some point.]

Pretty sure I beat you by a long shot, yeah. .. Immortality is kind of a flawed system. Usually it just means you can't die of natural causes. Although.. I guess there are exceptions in some cases.

[He chuckles and gives her a teasing look] I've been immortal for three years now--I'm an expert.

...I suppose angels are quite a bit heartier than vampires though.

Heartier? Maybe. We're older than Vampires themselves, technically. [Only by a few aeons. Mother wasn't that far behind.]

[His eyes widen and he shakes his head] Gott, no, three, darling. I suppose I'm really twenty-seven, but I was turned three years ago. I still can't even imagine living past sixty.

[She laughs- Oh oops.] Really? Only three? I thought that was just generalizing.. You really are little. [But then her smile turns sympathetic.]

Yeah. Photographic memory; I remember everything. [Which... Was a good and bad thing at times, she supposed.]

Just a newborn, eh? My girl-- my friend is also a vampire. She didn't believe how young I was.

[He nods, able to at least imagine how bad that must be. He remembers things much clearer now that he's a vampire, too.]

It was.. Wow, that was a while ago. We weren't really on Earth then. It was warm; lizards right. They loved the heat. Nature everywhere, no buildings, nothing 'human' anywhere on the Earth. Y'know, like buildings, etcetera. Just.. Nature made life.
