[Ah, the monthly saga continues. The PCD switches on to reveal Horst, and a tray of food.]

Hello again, gentle viewers. I thought in light of this latest event, it was fitting to show you the proper care and feeding of a Johannes Cabal. The most important thing, especially when you lot are out wandering from dream to dream, is not to let him sleep too much.

Since he is always armed to the teeth with either magic or a very heavy gun, I suggest bringing him a peace offering. [He gestures at the food.]

Remember, never attempt this without supervision.

[He manages to balance the tray, carry the PCD, and go down to the basement lab without spilling a drop.]

Good morning, baby brother, and please do note it is not actually morning. Not that you would know since you haven't--

[The room is empty. All of Johannes's carefully gathered supplies, his clothes, his Gladstone bag, gone.

The tray of food is the first to clatter, and then the only sound just before the PCD is shut off is a disbelieving whimper.]



[Horst won't be answering anything on the PCD for a while. Feel free to find him offline but he, well, won't be anywhere near the church, he'll just be around the woods and on rooftops. Also if you happen to live at the church you would probably have heard noises from the basement. That was not in fact a pack of moose, just Horst. Destroyin' shit before he left. Like ya do.]

[He closes his eyes, and shivers very faintly. He wants to say something, because he doesn't like being this way in front of people. But what is there to say? He's exhausted and he feels very much like he's been hollowed out.]

I'm moving tomorrow.

[She's not "people", Horst. And he doesn't have to say anything. She doesn't know what to say either.]

Alice, Arthur, Merlin and Mina are coming with you?

[See how many people are still there for you, care for you? Her voice is the slightest bit shaky but she does her best to keep it steady. Also she tries to project some warm and comforting feelings toward him to fill the emptiness somehow.]

[He doesn't sound confident in it, but losing Johannes has shaken his already tentative faith more than anything else possibly could. And besides, Merlin goes where Arthur does, and Arthur doesn't like Horst. And Mina now knows about Yuca.]

They most probably will. Besides you can't let Merlin go back to live with Tom or Mina with Alucard, right?

[She looks back at him. She's here for him, and for as long as she can, she will be.]

Good. This way Severus will be able to keep an eye on you. [A sarcastic comment without a hint of sarcasm in it doesn't feel quite the same, does it?]

And you'll hurt less that way. [She had initially meant it in reference to what he told him about consecratd grounds. But after saying it, she starts thinking that the second meaning is also accurate.]

Poor bloke. [It doesn't have any feeling behind it, and he closes his eyes again--he'd glanced at her--as if even the stars are too bright right now.]

[She gives him a slight smile in return.] I didn't mind either. I would have gladly spent an extra night there if I had been given the choice.

[She frowns a little though.] I guess all the dreams you "didn't have" were not as pleasant, hmm?

Not a dirty dream in the bunch, can you imagine?

[Sigh] No, they were mostly about Sophia.

[Offline] He'll be lucky if he gets that, it'd mean she forgave him XP Where is he coming back btw?

[But she drops the teasing at that.] Did bad things happen to people that came in your mind?

[Offline] Same place he died. But his body's coming back together so he'll be bedridden a while >>

[He doesn't want to talk about Sophia, ever again. Raven is the first and last person he plans to disclose that to.

But she asked, and he wants to tell her that he just doesn't want to think about it, and he can't.

Because all he sees now is what happened in his dreams, the creature he will become, the things he'll do.

Horst's gaze is vacant, focused somewhere near the floor.]

[Offline] When will it be? Want Raven to come find him and put him in bed? ;-)

[Raven senses his inner turmoil. She doesn't want to force him to tell her about things he doesn't want to talk about. But she's here for him and she won't judge him whatever he tells her.] You know dreams reflect people's inner fears. They combine way they interpret what happened and whatever expectation or apprehension they have about the future. But except if you're an oracle, it rarely happens in real life the way that you dreamt it. [Some of Raven's dream can indeed be prophetic but she won't mention that right now.]
