[Horst is sitting on the wall, and he lies back and sets the PCD down behind him. It can catch sight of the moon overhead and, sometimes, Horst's hands. Sewing.]

You know, it's summer and I'm sleeping quite a bit more--consider it my hibernation period. But that's really not much of an excuse not to get to know all these newcomers, especially with so many people leaving....

I'm Horst Cabal. I run a bar, sometimes. I'm going to start a school--everyone is welcome to attend or teach a class.

[That's just. adorable. Horst is laughing into his hands now, try back later for coherent conversation.]
al_truism: (AHAHAHAHAHA please stop talking)

[personal profile] al_truism 2011-06-22 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
And I sleep in the hayloft sometimes, it's really comfortable.

[Beaming now, okay.]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Still laughing]

You are die Kuh, hm?

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Then a recreational literature course should fulfill that requirement. Or even a drama club. Both are modes of entertainment that don't require a victim.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Victim. He notes the word and frowns.] You've had bad experiences with practical jokes, hm?

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Not exceptionally bad, no. I just don't think anyone should be put in a situation to be laughed at, unless the person is in on the joke.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. That could be a part of the course.
al_truism: (?!)

[personal profile] al_truism 2011-06-22 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
"die Kuh?"

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
[INNOCENT FACE]

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
What, letting the object be in on the joke? From what I've seen, most practical jokers feel that detracts from the so-called 'fun' of the situation.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all! Back home, my mates and I had at least a dozen running gags. We all knew that at any moment, a joke might be sprung, we just never knew what. We all had good fun. Wouldn't have done it if we weren't all laughing at the end. Not all pranks have to be malicious to be funny.
al_truism: (Wah.)

[No really, what-]

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
It's the surprise part of it that would irritate me, though. I'd hate living day after day in dread of finding-... of finding my shoes nailed to the floor or whatever the popular gags are now.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
You like...schedules, and predictability, that sort of thing? [He doesn't say it like a bad thing--more like he has an idea.]

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
It's certainly my preference to chaos, yes.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
You've been stuck with the wrong sorts of chaos, then. [Teasing grin]

So what do you do for fun?

[identity profile] grandtheftbody.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Does it get that bad that often?

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Read. For the most part. And practice what little magic I can manage.

[voice]

[identity profile] ahandsomedevil.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Magic? What sort?

Video

[identity profile] reckless-equine.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
...In what language and writing system? There're tons.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
It doesn't feel like people want to know me [She gave a small smile.] People are quite content to speak only to adults. But that's what adults tend to do really, they don't think children know anything.

[voice]

[identity profile] bookish-lioness.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 11:31 am (UTC)(link)
Er... the standard sort? It doesn't really fall into a single category. There are defensive spells, offensive, transfiguration, potions, various charms....

[identity profile] feel-nevermore.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[She can be proud for both of them.]

[Raven snorts a bit, not that she didn't expect the request, but sarcasm sometimes makes it easier for her to deal with certain things. That scar and how she got it is one of those.] Now who wants to see the other one strip? [She unclasps her cloak nonetheless and hands it to him.] It's not as impressive as yours. And the story of how I got it might be kinda hard to believe. ...It's more recent than yours too. [Her hands reach for the top of a leotard, her moves calm and steady despite what she's saying.]
unreadability: (full: biting over more than you can chew)

I have already decided on one title in the poetic genre, but a novel or another similar piece of prose would be most welcome.

<3 its okay!

[identity profile] huntressrip.livejournal.com 2011-06-22 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh~? Und vho vould zhat be?

[She listens to the rest of the list and raises an eyebrow at pranks.]

Zhat lizt is razher... unconventional~. I like it.
