Shall we take bets on whether or not zombies are the worst thing we'll see this year?

[Horst is lounging on a couch near a fire, a book open and on his chest.]

I realized, with all the new arrivals especially, we have a pool of unusual skills here. Would anyone be willing to teach a few classes? For instance: I could teach...oh, bar tending. Card dealing. Physics and labwork--you know, whatever there is interest for.

The ponies could teach 'Frolicking 101'. The angels could teach 'Offending Someone in Two Words or Less'.

Of course. I'd hope he would find a few classes he enjoyed as well. There may be somewhere else we can go, as well; I don't know that I want the children in the bar.

And it's no matter. It's a simple allergy, really, you weren't prying.

[He grins] I'm glad to hear it! I hope with the school and summer on its way, things will only be better here.

[Juliet agrees with this. No children should be inside taverns. She has heard that things can get rather...lively... inside them.]

Perhaps the library, if it is suitable, would be a more fitting place for such classes?

[She can't help but giggle.]

I cannot imagine my cos with a needle and thread.

I hope so as well. You have found past times and companionship as well, Horst? I can imagine it being a bit difficult to visit friends due to your condition, but surely arrangements can be made.

[Oh and they do. Horst is notorious for trying to dare people into regrettable situations.]

There's one in the northeast corner someone mentioned; I think I'll go examine it tomorrow.

[He laughs a little when she does, and winks] Maybe he can model the new gowns, then.

Honestly, this place has become home. I'm happier here than I was in my world. My brother is here, I've found friends--people I love. I'm even raising a child, which I would never have been able to do if I hadn't come here.

In the northeast? That is where my cousin and I live, so it will not be far, if it is suitable.

[And this has her laughing. The thought of Tybalt wearing any sort of dress - and she's picturing him in the one her Nanny usually wears, as it's the dress she sees most often.]

I somehow think he will not be amenable to such a thing. I would advise you not suggest it to him. He will not understand that you tease.

It is always more pleasant when you have family nearby. [And she perks at the mention of a child.] You as well? I have taken the girl Bubbles into my home. It is quite an experience, is it not? It is good practice for the day I am a mother in truth.

[Horst laughs and nods] I'll keep that in mind--Tybalt, no dresses.

[At the mention of Bubbles he brightens] She's going to be teaching drawing for us. I'm taking care of Alice Liddell, I believe the girls get together to play sometimes.

She is? How wonderful! She is quite the artist.

I have seen Miss Alice over the little machines, I believe, but I have not yet made her acquaintance. It is good that she and Bubbles play together.

I think she's exactly what we need! I hope you'll attend her class, too.

She's a wonderful little girl; I'll bring her to your class. She probably already knows some sewing, but I know she'd enjoy learning more.

I would not miss it for anything.

[Delighted smile.]

I look forward to meeting her in person, and you as well, Horst. These will be early evening classes, I presume, so that you may attend without harming yourself?

Yes; my classes, at least, will be. If someone wants to hold them during the day I might bribe them to give me a private lesson or two.

I think early evening would be fine, so long as the classes are not so long that it makes it difficult to put the children to bed by a reasonable hour.
