[The feed begins early in the morning, just before dawn. It's impossible to say who's recording, because all it captures is the sunrise. And it's beautiful; the colors are vivid, the day is cold and it makes everything that much sharper.

The sun climbs over the horizon at last and there's a flurry of dust across the screen. The PCD turns off when the feed times out.]


[OFFLINE: a note to Raven]

Hey, Spatzi.

I need to speak to the Higher Ups. Hold it together while I'm gone, ja?

[It's not signed because, well, she'll know who it was from.

There's also a note to Alphonse, saying simply, 'Sorry. Watch after Negi'. The few herbs Johannes left that Horst recognizes are mixed into sachets for Killua, Kotarou, and Negi. It encourages dreamless sleep.

If your name is Tyki, you get a key to Horst's bar and a note: 'Help yourself.']

[And a couple of minutes later he's knocking softly on the door.]

[It takes her a couple moments to get out of Raven's grasp but she opens the door and instantly hugging Cloud.]

[He doesn't even hesitate once the door is open, leaning down and picking her up easily, wrapping his arms around her tightly. It was something he normally wouldn't do, but he had a feeling she needed it at the moment.]

[Raven stands up from the armchair she was sitting in. Her head is bowed. She swiftly wipes her tears. And she stays there, looking at them from a far.]

[Offline] Cloud > Raven > Alice sound good?

[She had mostly cried as much as she would that night... maybe. But she needs the hug. She needs to know that Cloud is real and there and alive. She would hug all of her loved ones and never let them go if she could. But Cloud was one of those people that were close to her, he was the one that took her in first after all.]

[He let's her hug him as much as she wants. He had already gotten everything he needed to get out with Usagi, leaving him with the calm, strong demeanor everyone was used to. The one he was going to need if everyone was going to get through this.]

[Alice has a worn bag with little faded flowers on it. It has all the clothes she thought to bring and anything else. Basil and Aurora are in her arms.]

[He bends down and gets her bag carefully, arms staying around her tightly so he wouldn't drop her. Once he had retrieved it he adjusted his hold on her, making sure it was stable before turning to Raven.]

[Alice rested her head on Cloud's shoulder, exhausted from her sobbing. She sat up a little though.]

You're not coming with us?

[Raven walks to them and tucks a strand of Alice's hair behind her ear.]

Of course I am coming with you and Cloud, Sweetie. But I need to go back home to pick up Shadow at some point, don't I? He's gonna get worried if I don't.

[And she glanced back at Cloud, waiting for him to answer her question.]

It depends. [It had only taken Usagi a couple of days. Rei, a few longer, and he had forgotten how long Sasuke had been gone.

His hold on Alice adjusted as he twisted so she could face Raven more fully.]

Yeah. She's gonna help me take care of you until Horst gets back.

[She takes a deep breath and tries not to cry again. Because neither Cloud nor Raven are crying right?]
