[The feed begins early in the morning, just before dawn. It's impossible to say who's recording, because all it captures is the sunrise. And it's beautiful; the colors are vivid, the day is cold and it makes everything that much sharper.

The sun climbs over the horizon at last and there's a flurry of dust across the screen. The PCD turns off when the feed times out.]

[OFFLINE: a note to Raven]

[It's not signed because, well, she'll know who it was from.

There's also a note to Alphonse, saying simply, 'Sorry. Watch after Negi'. The few herbs Johannes left that Horst recognizes are mixed into sachets for Killua, Kotarou, and Negi. It encourages dreamless sleep.

If your name is Tyki, you get a key to Horst's bar and a note: 'Help yourself.']

No, it doesn't.

But we have to keep our faith in him because if we don't... he'll have done that for nothing. [And strangely enough, as she tries to convince Alice, she starts understanding... a little.] And we can't allow that, can we Alice?

Just wait for me, Sweetie. I'm headed over.

I- I don't even understand why he did it.

[And Raven is here near Alice, arms wide open for her to come to her if she wants to.]

[As soon as Raven is there Alice is hugging her tight and sobbing into her shoulder.]

[Raven hugs her back, closer than she ever did before. She kisses the top of her head and then she lifts her gently off the ground and carry her to the nearest armchair where she sits herself, settling Alice more comfortably on her lap.]

It'll be alright, Alice.

[Her voice is soft and reassuring, while a couple of tears are rolling down her cheeks but Raven doesn't seem to notice.]

[She holds onto Raven tightly. She doesn't understand. She doesn't understand. She just doesn't understand!]

I-I didn't want him to go!

But he's not gone for good, Sweetie.

He'll be back soon. He'll be back before you know it.

What if he doesn't remember us?

[Her breath catches and she bites her lip hard. You've just voiced out her greatest fear, Alice. But she just kisses her hair lightly, and her tone is just as usual when she answers.]

Come on, Sweetie. Of course he'll remember us. We're not that easy to forget. Especially not for Horst.

I-I just... I don't understand. I...

I guess, we'll just have ask him when he comes back...

I... I feel so many things. A-Angry and sad and h-horrified.

[Raven can sense those feelings coming from Alice and she feels them inside of herself too.]

And it's perfectly natural that you do.

Then what do I do?

Well you'll have to be brave and don't let those feelings overwhelm you. That doesn't mean you have to ignore them, because that wouldn't be sane either. Just that you have to keep hoping for the best despite your fear, anger and sadness.

Crying those feelings out helps too.

Why do so many bottle it up?

[Such a perceptive girl, Alice. Raven kisses her forehead rocking her gently against her.]

There can be many reasons. Sometimes it's becase they're afraid it'll make them look weaker in front of other. Sometimes it's because they just don't know how to deal with them...

I feel sick... [She's been crying for quite a bit so it makes sense. But it's good. She doesn't feel AS upset.]

[Raven nods gently.] Crying does that too. [But she was glad to feel that although Alice was still sad, she wasn't so upset anymore.] And you're probably a bit hungry, aren't you? I'll fix something for you when we're at Cloud's.
