[The PCD is set on a bedside table, so nothing is really the center of focus. The part of the window in view is carefully boarded up, and the bed is large and clean. And occupied.
Horst wakes the moment the sun is gone, just a twitch of the fingers at first and then a groggy mumble. He rolls onto his side, instinctively moving towards warmth. Yuca is next to him, though very much awake; the PCD can't see much of him at first, though.
Horst's arm snakes around Yuca's waist and pulls him closer.]
Hey. Fancy meeting you here.
...House is quiet. What'd you do with the kids?
[He sees the blinking light, makes a face, and turns the PCD off]

Then I guess I'm safe on that regard. [When she's with the kids, she spends most of her time helping Negi with his studies or talking about magic, alchemy, martial arts or whatever with the others. Really, She's so much better at talking with boys than with girls it's kinda scary... Maybe she used to play with Horst, Severus, Izuna and Vincent before Alice was born. XD]
I'd enjoy some time with you as well, if you have time. Since you're a father, I don't see quite as much of you as I used to. [And maybe she misses you a bit. Or more. But as usual don't expect her to say so.]

[She wraps her cloak around her shoulders before getting out of Trisha's house.]

[She might be surprised, at least. Whatever kinks he and Yuca get up to don't involve dressing up.]

You've never been patient, have you Horst?
[She gives him a quick peck on the cheek before she sits herself at the table.]
So... where's my tea?

[He hands her a tea cup and slides sugar and cream and lemon to her.
He sits across from her, and for once, the house is almost silent.]

Yuca has left to work with his father again?
[This is an event, but Raven is still Raven. They'll be no beating around the bush this week either.]

All he manages is:]
He might be home by morning.

[Because no it wasn't the first time it happened, far from it. But the kids were getting older and it became harder to explain them why their mother came back home with bruises each time he returned from Mayuri's.]

[She's not really worried. Those are usually calmer than the other three. Especially Al. Because this point is a little bit more debatable when it comes to Asuna.]
You know they will try to go after their grandfather. Sooner or later. Unless you decide to act first.
[Offline] annnd answering the other question too...
Al's used to it. He's afraid of Kurotsuchi, so even though he doesn't like it.... And Asuna doesn't know. [She's not as nosy as the triplets, and she's more level-headed; for some reason this means Horst protects her more rather than less. He figures the information needs to go to the kids who would overreact without it.]
I'd have gone after him by now if I didn't know what it would do to Yuca. So for now we're stale-mated; he won't hurt me or the kids, I won't kill him, we both get Yuca.
I used to wonder what my parents would have thought, they sure as hell weren't gentle with Severus or Vinny or me. But then I actually met Mayuri. I still wonder sometimes how Yuca got away when the bastard found out about me and him.

Mayuri needs Yuca. So if he was to kill someone, it wouldn't be him. He'd rather kill you. So you're lucky he can't actually do that.

That's true now. When we got married, though, Mayuri was angry enough I doubt he even knew what he was doing.
[He peers up at her, smiling slightly]
If you get married, try to get along with the in-laws. And for the love of God, pray you get in-laws who can be bought off with a cheap gift basket.

[She hums slightly at that and a tiny smile appears on her lips.] I don't think I'll have any trouble with Arthur's family. More like the other way around actually. ...But even if I didn't get along with his family, it wouldn't stop me from marrying him. Not anymore.
