When one's horns have cut, there is a ritual of life where there are songs sung, strength is tested, and ultimately passed. You are given another name and it is placed on the Great Tree.

After some time, you choose a First. It is another ritual where you dance for them, and they will then bring you completely. Humans would say have sex, but it is more than that.
